The Diablo 4 beta hasn't convinced me as of yet Diablo 4 Gold, but I can't wait to play even more (Set Items or not).


With the constant stream of PC games news, the grind never stops. As our virtual universe continues to turn on its virtual axis of rotation, there's a lot to look forward to in the near future. We've got Hogwarts Legacy Starfield, Diablo 4 and more, but it's worth casting our minds back to the best PC games of 2022. As Christmas is drawing towards a close and fireworks can be seen on the horizon we've taken the liberty of listing some of the years biggest news stories in the same place. After all there's nothing wrong with a touch of nostalgia?


Some of the biggest news to come out of January was Blizzard's announcement that an entirely new game that is set to take place in the "all brand new world" is in development adding another bow to Diablo's and WoW creator's metaphorical bow. It wasn't just Blizzard that announced something entirely new but Apex Legends creator Respawn Entertainment also revealed that they're developing a new triple-A shooter.


To top it off gamers who play turn-based games were rewarded with the news of the creation of a new studio run with the Doom and XCOM devs, they have come together to bring even more strategic fun to the genre that is growing ever more.

The highlight of February was, naturally, Elden Ring. The game is regarded as one of most popular FromSoftware games of all time The RPG game shot to the top of charts, as players competed from all over the world to restore the original item. Alongside Elden Ring, Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG brought ARPG/MMO hybrid Lost Ark to the West after a wildly successful launch in Korea. While server queues soared and players frequently lost the desire to play but the game has exploded post-launch , and now offers several exciting zones and classes. Dying Light 2 also deserves a quick mention; after the fact, what player doesn't like the thrill of killing zombies?


Then, Valve changed the landscape of portable gaming, as we discussed on our Steam Deck review. Initially, very few people were able to have access to this handheld due to a reservation system and a lot of people putting on a pre-order. However, it soon became a favorite with boot screen modifications or physical devices, and developers racing to improve their games for the new platform.

Following Elden Ring came Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger in Paradise The game was not able to match the popularity of FromSoftware.
